You made this? [She sounds a little surprised.] I just thought you found a craftsman to make it for you. [Which is what she did with his necklace he woke up in after his long sleep.]

That's why it's a little awkwardly shaped, I couldn't get the top to curve like I wanted it to...probably should've gone for the craftsman option, but...you know I figured. It's more personal this way?

[ it's something kara had said, when he gave her the sketch of her sister. that a picture would have just reminded her of alex but a sketch he had commissioned, and sat with the artist, describing, making sure it was as close as he could make it - reminded her of both of them. ]

You really had no idea? [ a little smug now, what that means it looks pretty damn good! ]

What were the odds you'd be good at everything instead of almost everything? [It looked good to her. And she wasn't looking for flaws.]

[ he's really not good at the working out thing. ]

Yeah, but that's more a character flaw than a talent.

[Nuzzle] It's a good thing there's no competition. [Says the person who made it sound like one.]

Mmm. [ he shifts slightly so he's curled up more comfortably around her. ]

Try to sleep. You were getting there before I started babbling.

I like your babbling. [She doesn't think of it as babbling. Does she need to clarify that?] Sleep with me? [She's more worried about him there.]

I'll try.

[ it's the best he can promise, but his head is still reeling from their argument, he's still worrying about sascha and what he's going to do about him, and now he's thinking about his parents, too. too much thinking for sleep. ]

[ the makes him chuckle softly. jim sang him to sleep. now his girlfriend. he's gonna end up catching them all, isn't he? ]

I'll never say no to a song. Unless you suck - [ so joking. ]

I might suck. It's a very real possibility. Be prepared to beg me to stop. [She smiles at him. And wow, she has to think about a song now. She goes to one they heard together recently.]

This sounds so much dirtier when I sing it slow like this. [She definitely doesn't have a lot of confidence in her singing and it's not exactly good, but it's not bad either. Just lacking confidence and untrained and practiced. There hasn't been a lot of singing in her life. But she's also trying to keep it in a lullaby kind of place which it's not.]

[ her comment makes him laugh - partly because she's right. ]
