But it also about proving to himself, just a little, that he was not useless here. That he had a purpose and a place. He was a captain back home. He was supposed to care for his crew, his family, and the isolation from them here was painful. Being able to do this for Winn meant something for him too, though mostly he was glad that he had, hopefully, pulled Winn out of what he thought could turn into a nosedive. ]}

Yeah, that sounds like a long time. It's hard, when people expect you to be something you're not - good or bad.
